What a great move!! Never would have expected the process to go as well as it did. We required a two day move to two different locations. From the beginning, to the end, we were extremely impressed and happy with the professionalism of everyone at Fresh Start. James led the way during his initial visit and estimate, and Angel followed through by leading two tremendous teams over two days. If you need movers, don’t waste time contacting other companies; just call Fresh Start and be confident they will perform expertly at a very fair price.

Christian, Angel, Nick and James moved my handweaving / tailoring studio from Springfield to the Hill Towns yesterday. Great group of guys who cheerfully tackled some unusual and heavy items, wrangling them through tight doorways and down long corridors. Speedy work with respectful care of my equipment. Project came in under estimate. Highly recommended.

David and Christian moved myself and three other roommates from a 3 bedroom in one part of Boston to a 4 bedroom in another part of the city. They did it in under the quoted time and price. Both movers handled everything with care and purpose, communicated effectively with us and with each other, and even added in extra boxes at the end since they had some extra space in the truck. We moved the weekend of September 1st, typically a very stressful time, but the moving itself was the least of our worries thanks to Fresh Start. Despite the distance from the Worcester office to Boston, it was still significantly cheaper to use Fresh Start than any other quote I got from movers with offices in the Boston area. Would highly recommend, and would definitely use their services again.

Amazing start to finish. Had to get new movers within 24 hours because the original ones we hired lied to us flat out! Called Monday and by Tuesday at 9:00 AM they were loading us up which was exactly when they said would be there. Moved us from Worcester to Florida and got to Florida to my door at 1:00 on the dot to unload which is when they said they would. Amazing! I paid for It but it absolutely blew me away. These are the folks to use and this company has amazing people!

Needed furniture moved within my house while rearranging bedrooms. Jordan and Peter were great-easy to talk to, always checked in with me if they had questions about where things needed to go, and then stayed to assemble my baby’s crib! Positive experience overall with setting up the service and having them in the house while I worked.

We had Fresh Start come to our house to move furniture from one room to another room in our house. They called to let us know they were on there way. David and Alex arrived we showed them what we wanted moved and where to move it to. It was such a nice pleasure working with them they listened to us and went right to work. Our move involved moving things up and down stairs. They worked very hard as some pieces were heavy or big. We would not hesitate to call again if we need moving services.

We were totally delighted with Fresh Start Moving Crew and their staff. This company made our move less stressful from pickup to delivery and we moved from Massachusetts to Florida! The staff was very personable both on the phone and in person. I was able to speak with a real person whenever I had a question or concern. All my belongings were carefully wrapped and loaded on time and very efficiently. We were on a tight timetable and Tyler was exceptional in the loading of our furniture as well as other items like our kayaks, bicycles and even a motorcycle. All our stuff arrived on time and nothing was damaged at all. The unload crew was also very efficient and personable. They even set up everything and made sure we had it all in place. I would highly recommend the Fresh Start moving crew.

What a company! I was blown away by their customer service! It’s rare to find a company that truly cares about their customers. I had a difficult commercial move in that my move kept having to get delayed. I changed my move date on them 3x and all 3x they said “no worries, we will take care of you” I highly recommend Fresh Start moving crew! Everyone I dealt with was fantastic from Holly the woman to answers the phone to the guys who did the move. The price was very fair and the service was outstanding!

We recently found ourselves in need of an interstate move with very short notice. Fresh Start was one of the companies we contacted for a price quote and the only company that guaranteed their crew and owner would be responsible for our belongings from the loading end to the delivery end without handing us off to other drivers or crews during transit. We found it very easy to communicate, get our questions answered, and make changes with this small, close-knit company. We had lots of questions that were handled quickly and professionally by James and his assistant, Holly. We were given a schedule for packing, loading, delivery, and unloading. They kept to the schedule from day I. The hard-working crew led by Arthur consisted of Joel, Nick, Stephanie, and Thomas. During the packing and loading phase, it was determined that a second truck was needed and on the delivery end, we met Edgar. We were impressed with how well wrapped and protected our furniture was and although there were some bumps and scrapes and issues along the way, in the end, the crew and owner made good on everything. Communication from the crew was excellent. They constantly kept us informed and their honesty was noticeable. Arthur’s integrity stood out as he brought to our attention any damage or issues that occurred during transit, some of which existed before the move! That spoke volumes to us. We had a flawless moving experience with Fresh Start. We enjoyed working with a small family oriented moving company. Holly and James were patient with us as our move dates changed several times. We had Fresh Start come help move furniture out of temporary offices into storage/permanent offices. After reading all the very positive reviews for Fresh Start online we hired them for our move from a small apartment into our first home, and we couldn’t be happier with the crew they sent to help us! Holly in their scheduling office was very friendly, explained their bid and how the final figure would work to me very clearly. Even when we called back a few days later and requested changes to the original bid, she reassured me it wouldn’t be a problem. The apartment was on the 2nd floor with a rather narrow stairway our only way to get anything in or out. Edgar, Eric and Angel, the moving crew sent to help us, were all awesome and very friendly. They were all more than willing to move not only the furniture we originally requested, but also boxes we had packed beforehand! They were very careful with all our stuff and helped place the furniture wherever requested at the new house. We used Fresh Start last week and we had a great experience. We had contacted 3 moving companies, but the estimes we got form the other companies were off an not at all as detailed as what Fresh Start provided. And as it turns out Fresh Start was very on point with their estimes. They contacted us 40 mins before being there and showed on time. Kenny and Steven where the crew that serviced us, the guys were great, very pleasant and professional. They has a sense of urgency but not rushing the packaging. They made sure to take care of all our furniture, and everything was transported with no damages whatsoever. They were very helpful when setting the furniture on the new apprment, by placing everything on the areas we wanted them to, they even went the extra mile and helped us put a wooden show rack inside a small closet, where it barely fit, but now looks great. Thank you for the help, you definitely made our more stress free, and I would definitely use the company again if we find ouselfs moving in the central Mass area. Would strongly recommend!

I needed a last-minute rush moving job, basically cleaning out almost an entire house full of furniture, and a large pile of trash. The crew with Fresh Start was amazing. They got everything out of the house in less than two hours, and I couldn’t believe it all fit in their truck! I’ve used Fresh Start for a few jobs, and have always been satisfied with their service and professionalism.

Arthur and Wayne were extraordinary in their help with moving some heavy furniture, a treadmil, and other items in my home. They were professional, extremely efficient, didn’t waste even a second, it was all “chop-chop” business, even though they were friendly. They were mindful and careful moving the furniture from 2nd floor to basement, and took great care to not scratch my hardwood floors and care managing the tight spaces down the stairs. The crew was very respectful and considerate of our needs throughout the process. They treated our belonging as it was their own and there as very minimal and minor issues with the move, which consisted of loading and unloading, removing our mpounted television, and assembling and disassembling the large pieces of furniture such as our hutch and queen size bed frame. There estimate of the cost was also on target with the actual cost and was extremely reasonable in my opinion. I would encourage anyone who is makniug a move, whether it be a short or a long distance, to consider Fresh Start.

Wow. If I could give more stars to this team I would. There were so many things this team did to give me confidence in their service. The first part of this was James coming to the house and assessing the needs for our move. Within minutes of him leaving, the “office” (Stephanie and Holly) called to schedule the move date and we received a quote within 24 hours. James made us very aware of the guarantees, coverage and management of damages etc for our move. But there was no hard sell. Just facts. Moving is always a challenge to begin with but for me, waking up on the day of the move to 15 inches of fresh snow sent me into panic mode. We had talked to Stephanie during the weekend and she was keeping an eye on the weather as well and letting us know timing, etc for the crew. James called early on the move day and told us…”we will get this done”!! Within an hour TWO vans showed with 9 movers and the party started. The crew was amazing lead by Nic Carr. I personally met all of them and was so, so , so impressed with their professionalism, care for my furniture and belongings and the effort they put in to getting this move done despite the weather. When snow needed shoveling, they shoveled, when they couldn’t go one way…they went the other. There was not a single mark on my walls in any location and the floors were covered and in great condition. You would not have known a moving company had been through either home. They cleaned up after themselves and were the nicest most competent movers I have ever worked with. Shout out to the whole team that day…Nic, Luis, Angel, Wayne, Arthur, Joel, Tm, Edgar and Christian!!! Also thanks to Holly and Stephanie who organized all of this for us! The actual moving crew of Fresh Start was Great! Wayne, Jose, James, Carlos and Scott did a great fantastic job moving our hot tub! They discussed each step before executing their next move and were careful from start to finish! Two thumbs up for his crew, they certainly deserve the bonus and then some! The office staff however wasn’t top shelf. The discussed verbal quote was almost 50% less then the actual written wrote. When I questioned it the owners didn’t really care, if I had more time I would have used someone else, I was in a time crunch so I had to use them. We moved from North Carolina to Worcester MA last year and swore we’d never lift all our furniture again. We were lucky enough to be able to afford movers this time, and I carefully researched and selected a mover (not these guys). I received a quote, accepted it, and set an appointment online, only to have them become unavailable days before the move. So, last minute, I picked the movers whose website listed last minute service. Fresh Start should have been my first choice! From getting a quote to discussing my inventory, they were amazing. They showed up on time, paid attention during the walkthrough, and were extremely nice and well prepared. We were barely packed, and still moving debris and taping up boxes, but their team took it in stride. They carefully wrapped our furniture without being asked, and double checked with us every step of the way. At the new apartment (which they beat us to!) they put everything exactly where I asked, and were careful on the new floors. All in all, Mike and his team made Herculean efforts, and completed our entire move in about three hours! Their price was market rate, and their courtesy and consideration well above average. We were super happy to have them there for us-our entire move has been made so much easier because of Fresh Start!

We had a move within town and everything about Fresh Start was professional and very well done. From scheduling the appointment, to communication with the office and contact through email with Mary everything was easy, and the day of the move David and Wayne were very careful with our belongings and worked VERY hard to get everything done in a timely and professional manner. They knew exactly what they were doing and completed my move in just over 3 hours! I ended up paying less than what I was quoted! I’m still in awe that they were able to get my HUGE couch out of one apartment and into the most awkward entry ever. Next time I move I’m definitely going with Fresh Start!

The Fresh Start Moving Crew took on the responsibility of doing whatever was necessary to get us happily relocated. They helped pack, worked around the dog, and timed their arrival for our convenience. They moved, adjusted, and reassembled. They never said they couldn’t or wouldn’t do something, they stayed until the job was done right — and they provided an accurate quote! This is the only way to move!

My second time using Fresh Start and I can’t say enough good things about them! They are courteous, respectful of your property and hard working until the job is done. Jorge and his crew moved us yesterday and we are so pleased. Within 5 hours they emptied a POD and full truck. Great crew!

*UPDATE – The owner contacted us and had someone come in and fix all the damage caused by the crew that moved us. The person he sent did an awesome job, my furniture looks brand new. I would definitely feel confident recommending this company now. The owner showed that he cared and definitely made it right. This is exactly how a business should be run! He’s a stand up guy and I know he has a great crew under him now.

I typically do not like to give such a poor review of a company, but a month and a half after my move I am still finding damage to my belongings. The owner came out to our home and inventoried all our belongings and gave us a very detailed quote, and we were very impressed. We decided to go ahead and hire him based on this meeting and the quote which we found very reasonable. Unfortunately, that is pretty much where the good experience ended. On the day of the move, the crew showed up with no locks for the trucks, and without a dolly to move the furniture.The trucks were supposed to park back to back in the driveway of our new home to compensate for the fact that they didn’t have locks, but only one truck made it to the house. The owner was very responsive when we called to find out where the other truck was and made sure to track it down and put a lock on it. I thought that was where the trouble would end, I was wrong. The next day, the crew arrived again without a dolly to move the furniture. They damaged in some way pretty much all of my nice furniture. They broke the footboard of my bed when moving it out of my old house, they were supposed to fix it by the next day but couldn’t be bothered. They took a chunk out
of my dresser and scratched it. They gouged my night stand, broke the doors on my TV stand, gouged up the walls in my new house and scratched up my dining room table. Not many of my belongings made it through unscathed. These are things I spent my hard earned money on and paid a good amount of money to have them safely moved. I expected some damage, but not this much. Once we paid, we noticed that they had put a charge for 2 overnights and we only had one overnight. We contacted the owner and because of the service he was very nice and refunded some of our money. We thought this was a refund for the erroneous charge and the issues with the locks and the missing truck so we were pleased with that credit. We paid $150 for insurance for our belongings in the event of damage, so as we started to discover the damage to our belongings we reached out to the owner to ask about the insurance and we were told he had already given us a refund of some of our
money and asked us not to “abuse him”, I

thought the refunded money was for the poor service provided by his crew, I didn’t realize that he would think a $500 credit would make up for damaging nearly all of my furniture. I was actually
offended by him asking us not to abuse him, your crew showed 0 care or respect for my
property and I thought I paid for insurance to
protect me in the event of damage. In fairness, i understand the owner has hired new people who are very professional and terminated some of the people who were on this job, but l am not sure how that is any consolation to me. I stopped even reporting the damage to my belongings because it was clear to me that he thought he had done enough to make up for it. Again, the owner is a professional and is running an honest business but I don’t think that hiring people who clearly don’t respect him or his business or his customers should be my loss.

We moved a couple of weeks ago and this crew was awesome!  Eddie was a great leader, very professional and just really great at what he does.  The entire crew was friendly and professional.  Prompt arrival.  Care taken with our belongings.  Despite the fact that they charge by the hour, these guys were hustling!  You usually expect a slower pace in that situation but not these guys.  Wow!  We ended up paying less than the estimate because they just worked so efficiently.  I strongly recommend this crew. If you are looking for movers, look no further. These guys are awesome; amazingly hard workers. Mary in the office is also super helpful. I used them for two moves this summer and they were professional, careful and super nice to work with. I’d use them again without reservation.

From the get go the Moving Crew was great. My wife and I were moving from a third floor apartment and needed help. I contacted six movers and after speaking with and receiving quotes from them all, the Moving Crew were the most friendly and professional. the price wasn’t the cheapest, but it was competitive and fair. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

It was the morning of my move, on a busy moving weekend, and my original plans had fallen through. I called all the local moving companies: I left messages at all but one, which was full for the whole weekend. Then James called me back, made a space for me in his schedule where there really wasn’t one, and saved the day.

The crew (headed up by Bill) was professional, friendly, considerate, fast, and thorough. They made sure I understood the costs involved, and ensured that I had gotten everything I wanted in the truck. They checked with me on delicate items, handled everything carefully, and made short work of it, too. And — and I know this is a small thing, but it made all the difference — they were personable and +likeable+. When you’re entrusting all your earthly belongings to a stranger, you want them to feel like a friend. These guys did, and that’s a first in my experience.

Just moved from our 4 bedroom house in Spencer to a new house about an hour away. The Moving Crew was right on time, fast, and very professional and courteous. All the furniture was carefully protected and wrapped, and everything was handled with care. They put down protective mats on the floors.

Scheduling and setting up the move was handled very nicely. We had a couple of schedule changes and also needed an extra bit of help for a short time on a different day. Their response was completely helpful and supportive every time. I would look no further than these folks for another move.

I hired this company to load a 26 ft truck for me, on a Sunday. Not only were they on time,  but didn’t jack up the price for a Sunday. They communicated the whole time,  and were so easy to work with.  I definitely would recommend them and use them again.

Very efficient. I had a detailed quote in very little time after calling. I was very surprised at how fast TJ and Brian packed up my apartment. They were very careful with all my things and there was not a scratch on any of my belongings. They were so quick with loading and unloading the truck that they finished about two hours under the estimated time.

We moved from North Carolina to Worcester MA last year and swore we’d never lift all our furniture again. We were lucky enough to be able to afford movers this time, and I carefully researched and selected a mover (not these guys). I received a quote, accepted it, and set an appointment online, only to have them become unavailable days before the move. So, last minute, I picked the movers whose website listed last minute service. Fresh Start should have been my first choice! From getting a quote to discussing my inventory, they were amazing. They showed up on time, paid attention during the walkthrough, and were extremely nice and well prepared. We were barely packed, and still moving debris and taping up boxes, but their team took it in stride. They carefully wrapped our furniture without being asked, and double checked with us every step of the way.  At the new apartment (which they beat us to!) they put everything exactly where I asked, and were careful on the new floors. All in all, Mike and his team made Herculean efforts, and completed our entire move in about three hours! Their price was market rate, and their courtesy and consideration well above average.  We were super happy to have them there for us-our entire move has been made so much easier because of Fresh Start!

This review is currently based only on my initial telephone contact with Jim at The Moving Crew. I called him in a bit of a panic and with very short notice (my move will be less than a week away!). Every other company I’d called was booked and not nearly as cordial. Jim calmly reassured me and my anxiety is decreasing. Let’s face it: moving sucks! But I look forward to working with this newer company and I will update my review after my move. If my phone conversation is an indication of their service, I’m sure I’ll be pleased.

These guys helped my fiancee and I out big time.  We had a terrible experience with movers loading our truck in Bedford, and we had hired The Moving Crew to unload the truck in Amherst.  Due to our experience in Bedford, we were hours late arriving in Amherst.  The moving crew was able to be flexible with the time, and when we arrived they loaded our stuff into our new home and assembled our Ikea furniture in no time flat.  We were amazed at their professionalism, speed, and most of all their good attitude and sense of humor.  They took our bad day and made it good.

These guys are great!  We found them on Yelp and asked for a quote because of all of their 5-star reviews.  I knew I wanted a local mover.  This is a family business.  James and Heather really care about the quality of the move and have a hired a wonderful team.  Their team is courteous, friendly, and accommodating.  With about 10 days from my due date for our second child and a husband with an injured knee, we hired them to do packing and moving services and the price was very reasonable.  They came on Monday to pack and Tuesday to move.  We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would recommend them to anyone!

I used the Fresh Start Moving Crew for the second part of my move on July 5, 2017. They were fantastic!! I would highly recommend this mover to all my friends, family and neighbors. They were punctual, courteous, friendly, professional, respectful, nice and patient.

The first part of my move in May 2017 was an extremely unpleasant experience with another moving company who had scammed me. I called Fresh Start Movers to do the second part of my move after I realized my belongings were not stored properly, many glass items were not wrapped and most of my things were just thrown into the storage unit. I explained my horrible experience to Mary (the office manager) and James (the owner) of Fresh Start Moving. They were very sympathetic and understanding of what I had gone through a few months prior. They were aware of the fact that I wanted to go slow with this move, as I needed to take pictures as evidence against the first movers I hired. James even gave me tips regarding who to call (AG, BBB, MAPU, FMCSA) and what websites to visit to make a case against the other company. They took the time to explain the situation to the 5 guys who they sent to my house for the move. They did everything in their power to make sure I had a positive experience for the second part of my move.

The guys could not have been more wonderful, cooperative and patient as I took pictures of my damaged belongings. They were horrified to see how everything was packed. They explained to me the right and wrong way to pack, wrap and store specific household items. They told me how things SHOULD have been packed.

James gave me one guy for free and also an hour of moving time for free. I think he felt badly about everything I had gone through with the first part of my move. He even came back to pick up the majority of my boxes for me so I didn’t have to dispose of them myself. He also agreed to sign a letter for the Attorney General regarding all of the damage to my furniture and how the other movers incorrectly packed most of my items.

I used The Moving Crew for my move and thought they were a very professional company to hire. They came in on budget to what I was given as an estimate. On moving day the movers were very careful with my stuff. The movers were also personable and conscientious.

Great experience starting with the first phone call, followed up with a quote, then a site visit where it was clear the process would take longer than the information I was able to provide over the phone. The crew arrived the morning of the move and could not have been nicer. It’s our second move in a year. The company we went with last time was a bit less expensive, but did not take the time to secure items with the care and detail the Moving Crew did. Well worth the slight extra expense and time. Moved in the rain and they did all they could to keep things protected and clean. Everyone was friendly and respectful and seemed to genuinely care about making this a positive experience. They worked as a real team. Once the truck was packed and another crew had finished, they sent an additional three men to assist in unloading to speed up the process – no extra charge for the extra people. Not a thing even scratched. Very impressed.

The people at The Moving Crew are very professional. They came to the house to give me a quote for my move. They sent a quote by email and I accepted. The process was very easy. I later learned that the quote that I had accepted was lower than it should have been, but they honored the quote I was given. The day of the move went very smoothly. The men were good hard workers and very careful with my furniture and with moving the furniture making sure not to bang into walls and woodwork. I was glad I choose this company and would recommend them.

I spoke with Chris initially who gave me an estimate. He was very responsive to my call and my questions, sent over an estimate, reviewed it with me and was very professional. The morning of my move the crew was about 20 minutes late but considering they were coming in to Boston during rush hour I didn’t really mind. The crew, 3 guys, worked their butts off. They were all very professional, very nice and friendly. About an hour or so in to the move though it became clear that the truck was not going to be big enough to hold all of our stuff. Things became a bit tense as and I could tell that they were all stressed. The head of the crew said that I underestimated the number of boxes by about 20 which is why truck was too small. We didn’t count the boxes but 80-90 boxes for a 2 bedroom seems unlikely. I’ve moved 12 times in my life, and this is the first time I’ve ever had this experience. As it was getting later and later, the crew was getting frustrated and so was I. At one point we had to ask the guys to fit as much as they could because they were closing up the truck and there was still space and still a ton of stuff left to be moved. My wife over heard the crew talking (complaining) and one of them asked if we wanted them to take the fridge too. So they loaded up every square inch of the truck (because we wouldn’t let them stop until it was done.) when the truck was full there was still a significant amount of small furniture and items left in the apartment.
The unloading process went fairly smoothly.
When they were finished, the head of the crew and I reviewed the estimated and actual charges. It was estimated to take 5.25 hours, it took about 6.5. And there was still a lot of stuff I had to get. I asked to speak with a manager, and spoke with James. I expressed to James that the crew worked hard and the 1.25 additional hours was fine but I was going to have to pay $100 to rent a uhaul and get the rest of the stuff myself. He took $100 off and apologized. Very professional.
Overall the crew worked hard, the managers were nice, but the underestimate of time and truck size was very inconvenient.
I would use them again, but next time I will dramatically overestimate how much stuff I have.

I had used the moving crew another time. They were very happy to help me again. My furniture is large and heavy so they did have to call in another person to help as the move before mine took longer then expected and they were slightly tired when they got to my place. I moved from Massachusetts to Massachusetts in July 2014. Every part of my experience with The Moving Crew was superior. The phone estimate was the same as the quote provided after an on-site walkthrough, and was the price paid when the move was completed. Since this was a long-distance move, the folks at the Moving Crew planned everything perfectly,and kept me informed every step of the way. There was absolutely no damage to any of my things. These guys did a first-rate job and highly recommend them.

Great moving experience the crew worked diligently staying focused. Valuables were wrapped safely beds reassembled no trash was left behind by the company. The crew arrived on time for a hard days work. I had 4 movers it took about 2 1/2 hours to pack up the truck.

I found their information on yelp, where they got a really high rating. After I contacted the owner, he said he would come to my apartment to measure everything that needed to be moved, he came the next day with his general manager on time. Both of them were very nice and professional. After he wrote down all the measurements, he told me when the movers would show up on our moving day, how many people would come, and also sent me a quote later on, which was the maximum amount we would pay.

The moving day was rainy, and the two folks who came to help us got lost for a while, as our place was not easy to find, but it didn’t really matter. They wrapped everything so it wouldn’t get dirty, like mattress and our sofa, moved out our heavy furniture, and put bulky items organized in our new house. They were very dedicated and easygoing. First time I’ve ever used a moving company. Would definitely use them again! They were prompt and professional. Very fast move which came in under the allotted time, saving me money. Placed my furniture as directed and put together my beds. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover.

They responded quickly to my inquiry and sent someone out to give an estimate. We did not have everything packed at the time of the estimate, so this led the person to underestimate the amount of stuff and the time it would take to move us. The movers were in the bad situation of not having a large enough truck and enough people when they arrived on the day of our move. However, they quickly called another truck and more people. I can imagine they were not happy to have the move take so much longer than they anticipated, but they maintained their professionalism. Overall they did a good job handling our stuff.

I was impressed with all aspects of working with the Moving Company and found their prices to be competitive. They were immediately responsive to initial and follow up contact and were prompt even arriving a few minutes early on moving day. They worked hard, were extremely courteous and I had no concerns whatsoever. A day after the move I realized a piece of our grill was missing, and The Moving Crew immediately offered to pay for the replacement. I definitely plan to use them for our next move and give my full recommendation.

These movers were wonderful. Very flexible and accommodating regarding dates, times, and changes to amount of boxes and/or furniture. I had the moving crew pick up mostly furniture from our old apartment to bring to our new house. They were not only competent but they knew I wanted to keep the time limit under a certain time for budgeting reasons, and they did so. Further, they allowed me to load smaller items into their truck so that they weren’t wasting my time by carrying things I could carry. they also made pleasant conversation during their work, and their boss gave me a solid estimate on their time, how long any needed break might be and their abilities. It was an excellent process.

The Moving Crew was first hired to move me from a home I sold to a temporary location. A major item to be moved was a piano. James took such precise and detailed care to wrap and cushion the piano. I again hired The Moving Crew for my final move to a new home. Despite unseen delays with the closing, James accommodated us every step of the way. I also used The Moving Crew to move items I had in storage. I would (and have) recommend The Moving Crew without hesitation.

I did the same thing with some other moving companies and ended up booking another local company. 3 days before my move on December 18th, I called that moving company to obtain their Certificate of Insurance (COI), as my destination address requires one. I then learned that they do not carry insurance! My stomach turned. How had I backed myself into this corner?? So I called Fresh Start, hoping they could find space in their schedule. By some miracle, they had a cancellation on the day of my move because of the huge snow storm approaching New England. Elyssa was the original person who helped me, and Holly was the one to book my move the second time. Both were professional and awesome. The day came, and David and Jake showed up right on time, ready to work, and had me on my way. They did an excellent job, and I cannot say enough nice things about these four people as well as this company. Fresh Start moved us from Worcester ma. to Wilmington nc in the middle of a snow storm. They were prompt, polite, and professional. We lived in a 3 story Victorian and they did a great job with our things, including my husbands motorcycle. Moving is stressful especially out of state. They reduced that stress by following through with every task in a timely manner. We arrived at our new home in Wimington 15 minutes early. They were there withen 5 minutes of our arrival. I was so happy with the service provided by Fresh Start! Kristen was super helpful giving me a quote, setting up the move and changing the date when my closing was delayed. The movers were polite, efficient and careful with my belongings. Additionally, they got rid of tons of junk for me for a reasonable fee.

Greg and Matt were professional, efficient, amicable, and exceptionally helpful. They even put my bed frame together and finished in half the time allotted for the job. I couldn’t be happier, and you will be too if you use this moving crew. We called the same day that we needed the help, and they responded quickly and showed up right away.

Sean and Conor were very friendly, helpful and courteous. They handled our things with great care and asked questions if needed for any clarification. The only feedback is for the estimate; we ended up paying a bit more than what was quoted despite going through what I thought was a thorough tally of the items to move. To be fair, the actual amount was appropriate to the time spent (just a lot more time than what was originally planned for, in part due to a lot of rain). All in all, great company and I would definitely recommend them!

I cannot overstate how great our experience with Fresh Start was. The owner came out for an in-person quote. The office staff was super easy to work with, and all of our scheduling needs were accommodated. We were incredibly impressed with the care and attention that they paid to our possessions. Nothing was damaged or broken, and we had some really challenging items. More than that, they were pleasant, responsive, and asked lots of questions to ensure that everything was exactly how and where we wanted it. Rainell was our crew leader, and he, Tyler, John, Jake, Mike, David, and Dio did an amazing job. Price wise, their quote was the lowest we received and our total price was within the original quote. Based on our experience, I’d happily recommend them to anyone I know in this area.

The crew led by Tom was friendly responsive helpful the whole way through. They systematically moved all my items like a well oiled machine from start to finish. Our move with Fresh Start could not possibly have been a more positive experience! From the very first contact with their office, they were incredibly professional and responsive. I cannot recommend Fresh Start Moving Company enough!! Kristen was incredibly helpful getting the move scheduled and running me through the process of how the day would look. The move with Ron and Gene went quick and efficiently despite it being a less than ideal 93 degree day. Unfortunately, there was a a little scratch on my apartment floor but James the owner was incredibly responsive and took the time to come by and fix the floor and deal with my awful landlord prior to my lease ending so I would not have to stress any longer. If you are looking to move you should definitely call Fresh Start!! The most affordable price for the best service around!

Recently my partner and I moved from Arlington, MA to Pelham, MA. We got bids from 5 different movers, including Fresh Start. Although FS was among the least expensive quotes, they weren’t the very cheapest, but we went with them anyway, and we are so glad we did. Everyone we worked with at FS was wonderful; not just professional, but kind and thoughtful. It started with a virtual walkthrough with Jamie, the owner. While talking, he mentioned how pleased he was that, during that week, he was able to keep 30 people employed – in other words he seemed like a genuinely decent human being. At the end he said “I hope you have a great move, whoever you go with,” and seemed to really mean it. After that we worked with Kristen, a move coordinator. She was also helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us figure out a schedule, what, if any, extra insurance might be good, and all the other details. She was a constant cheerful presence, and also expressed great admiration for Jamie as a boss and as a person. Finally the day came and the 5-person crew arrived, Rainell, John, Jeremiah, Demonte and Cameron. Again to a person they were hard-working, friendly, skilled, and professional. At one point I was chatting with Rai, and he said “I tell people, don’t judge someone by his size – show me his heart and I’ll tell you who will get the job done.” Well this team had heart. They got our place moved with hardly any trouble at all – including when it came time to to hoist my sofa over a freshly painted second floor balcony. Not a scratch on either the balcony or the sofa They were amazing. At one point I said to Cameron, the youngest member, that it seemed like a good crew to work on. He said, yeah, not only were they great to work with, but they actually took the time to explain to you how things were done so you could become more skilled. And another example: I ordered pizza for everyone – seemed the least I could do – and they even made a point to knock that half an hour off the bill. Rai and John managed the crew perfectly, Rai in the truck and John in the house. And Demonte and Jeremiah, though neither were what you would call big guys, by the end I was half ready to see if they could pick up the truck and carry it. And I wouldn’t have been surprised if they did That’s heart – all of it. Everyone knows moving house is dreadful, and frankly I hope never to do it again. But if I did, this is the exact crew I would want to work with. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

We hired Fresh Start Moving Company to remove furniture from our resort on the Cape and to move our new furniture into 37 units. They arrived exactly on time. The weather was awful. I am so so so glad that we hired Fresh Start for our move! I had a great experience over the phone with the moving coordinator (Kristen) and crew (Will, Angel, and David) were incredibly professional and hard-working. They had their work cut out for them! They moved us out of a third floor walk up apartment on a very hot day, and we have a LOT of furniture. On top of that, our move was scheduled in the middle of a global pandemic, so these guys did all this while wearing masks and following social distancing protocols! Even with the stairs and the heat, the crew was unbelievably efficient and treated all our belongings with care and consideration. They got the entire job done in time to match the quote we were given, which was affordable and well-worth the money. I will absolutely be hiring Fresh Start for my next move!

I don’t often leave reviews but felt compelled to do so for Fresh Start! This was our second move with them, the first one being four years ago, and they did not disappoint! Everyone from Elyssa in the office to the two crews that moved us out and in our new house a week later were professional and incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We had an unexpected delay and went from needing 2 nights of storage to 6 nights and it was no problem for Fresh Start! They were on top of everything and exactly where they said they would be when they said they would be there! After dealing with a nightmare of a mortgage company who dropped the ball on their end and a less than helpful lawyer, we were stuck waiting to go on record when the movers arrived! Belinda in the office was fantastic to work with–incredibly efficient and prompt, and managed to to fit us in on the tail end of another job for a flat rate the day after I called for a quote. Tyler, Mike, Wayne, and crew lead Louis moved a massive leather sleeper sofa from a friend’s storage unit into my house quickly and professionally on a brutally hot day. We had had a quote of $500 from one of the big companies to move that couch, and Fresh Start was able to do it for less than half that and a full week sooner. I am so impressed, I even got back on Facebook to recommend them, and I HATE Facebook .

EXCELLENT Customer service!! Man are we really happy we had the fresh start crew help move some appliances in our home this week. We had some tough moves with a 2nd floor laundry. Esp when the new ones wouldn’t fit and I had to make some “adjustments” to the door frame to make it work. The whole time Patrick and Angel were extremely professional and very helpful. Also the communication from dispatch and quoting was also excellent. Will use again 100% for any other moving needs.

On October 16 Fresh Start moved our 4 bedroom household to our new home 1-1/2 hours away within Massachusetts. Angel, Jay and Wayne made a debacle of a move day so much better! A late start due to a problem with the truck, then a broken key in the ignition, rain and a monster of an armoire that could only come out of the house through a window, over a sun porch and down a ladder conveyor belt style – they were all professional and fun. Moving is never fun, but they hustled to make up for lost time, they problem solved to find a way to make it happen and they were personable and professional even though it wasn’t an easy project. I would highly recommend this team!

What a great moving experience. From the quote to the last box the service was awesome. They moved me from Vermont to Massachusetts and the crew, Mel, Angel and Wayne really hussled to get the job done! Taking care of the couple of delicate furniture items, navigating the couch around the narrow hallway with lots of curves to all the boxes, pictures and clothes. They wrapped what needed to be wrapped and really took care of my stuff! An Astounding job! I will hire them again when I have to move next and would recommend them for any size job! Working with Fresh Start was a pleasure. The owner, James came out and went through my home asking me about my furniture and which pieces were special to me. He wanted to make sure they took extra special care when moving it and packing it in the trucks. On the day of the move a crew of 6 came. Christian, who was the crew manager, Arthur, Nick, Angel, James A, and Vaio. All were so polite. Christian went through the house with my husband and I going over every piece and box that had to be packed, he then met with the crew and made a plan about what was going to go on the truck etc. They then went to work. Each one of them took care and consideration with my furniture. My furniture was then stored and the crew awaited for my call when I obtained the keys to my new home. I called and the trucks were on the way. The crew was Christian, the Crew Manager, Arthur, Angel, and Wayne. Each crew member made sure each box and furniture was placed in the appropriate room. It was a pleasure to work with them again. Holly and Stephanie in the office were great and made sure that all my questions were answered. My husband and I relocated from a large, four bedroom home to a third floor condo in Portland. Christian came to our home for the estimate which I felt was very reasonable. He was courteous and helped ease my concerns about the process. Stephanie was extremely helpful over the phone which also helped the stress level. Then on move day, team lead Arthur, James and Nick were amazing! They packed up our house in 4 hours, drove two hours then lugged everything up two flights of stairs, including a very heavy king size mattress. The personnel in the front office are detail oriented and easy to deal with. The moving crew wore masks, were polite and attentive to fragile items. They followed the front officeâ s instructions meticulously.

The movers came on time, but one of them was in a horrible mood and brought the morale of the whole team down. We had damage to our furniture and walls from their move. However, James (the owner) was very accountable and responsive to pay for all the damages. Just a bummer… The owner had such top-notch customer service! His team did not. Not sure if it was a bad day for them.

Recently my partner and I moved from Arlington, MA to Pelham, MA. We got bids from 5 different movers, including Fresh Start. Although FS was among the least expensive quotes, they weren’t the very cheapest, but we went with them anyway, and we are so glad we did. Everyone we worked with at FS was wonderful; not just professional, but kind and thoughtful. It started with a virtual walkthrough with Jamie, the owner. While talking, he mentioned how pleased he was that, during that week, he was able to keep 30 people employed – in other words he seemed like a genuinely decent human being. At the end he said “I hope you have a great move, whoever you go with,” and seemed to really mean it. After that we worked with Kristen, a move coordinator. She was also helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us figure out a schedule, what, if any, extra insurance might be good, and all the other details. She was a constant cheerful presence, and also expressed great admiration for Jamie as a boss and as a person. Finally the day came and the 5-person crew arrived, Rainell, John, Jeremiah, Demonte and Cameron. Again to a person they were hard-working, friendly, skilled, and professional. At one point I was chatting with Rai, and he said “I tell people, don’t judge someone by his size – show me his heart and I’ll tell you who will get the job done.” Well this team had heart. They got our place moved with hardly any trouble at all – including when it came time to to hoist my sofa over a freshly painted second floor balcony. Not a scratch on either the balcony or the sofa They were amazing. At one point I said to Cameron, the youngest member, that it seemed like a good crew to work on. He said, yeah, not only were they great to work with, but they actually took the time to explain to you how things were done so you could become more skilled. And another example: I ordered pizza for everyone – seemed the least I could do – and they even made a point to knock that half an hour off the bill. Rai and John managed the crew perfectly, Rai in the truck and John in the house. And Demonte and Jeremiah, though neither were what you would call big guys, by the end I was half ready to see if they could pick up the truck and carry it. And I wouldn’t have been surprised if they did That’s heart – all of it.  Everyone knows moving house is dreadful, and frankly I hope never to do it again. But if I did, this is the exact crew I would want to work with. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

We hired Fresh Start – The Moving Crew for a move from 3 different locations in Massachusetts to Providence, Rhode Island, in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. R****** (team lead) is a good leader and you can tell a team has a good leader when the team meshes well, has fun doing a tough job and they still do it efficiently with NO damages. I recently used Fresh Start Moving to get furniture from a storage space in one city to a second floor apartment in another city. My movers were Alex and Conor and they did a tremendous job. Holly and the movers on moving day were great to work with. I had an unusual move – a heavy piece of machinery – and the team were very helpful in figuring everything out. Clear and efficient communication from all throughout the process. They loaded the machine without issue and packed it carefully so that it was still in good shape once I got it across the country.

In the middle of November I received a flyer in the mail from Fresh Start Movers, filled out the online form, and received a quote pretty quickly. I did the same thing with some other moving companies and ended up booking another local company. 3 days before my move on December 18th, I called that moving company to obtain their Certificate of Insurance (COI), as my destination address requires one. I then learned that they do not carry insurance! My stomach turned. How had I backed myself into this corner?? So I called Fresh Start, hoping they could find space in their schedule. By some miracle, they had a cancellation on the day of my move because of the huge snow storm approaching New England. Elyssa was the original person who helped me, and Holly was the one to book my move the second time. Both were professional and awesome. The day came, and David and Jake showed up right on time, ready to work, and had me on my way. They did an excellent job, and I cannot say enough nice things about these four people as well as this company. I used the Fresh Start Moving Crew for the second part of my move on July 5, 2017. They were fantastic!! I would highly recommend this mover to all my friends, family and neighbors. They were punctual, courteous, friendly, professional, respectful, nice and patient.

The first part of my move in May 2017 was an extremely unpleasant experience with another moving company who had scammed me. I called Fresh Start Movers to do the second part of my move after I realized my belongings were not stored properly, many glass items were not wrapped and most of my things were just thrown into the storage unit. I explained my horrible experience to Mary (the office manager) and James (the owner) of Fresh Start Moving. They were very sympathetic and understanding of what I had gone through a few months prior. They were aware of the fact that I wanted to go slow with this move, as I needed to take pictures as evidence against the first movers I hired. James even gave me tips regarding who to call (AG, BBB, MAPU, FMCSA) and what websites to visit to make a case against the other company. They took the time to explain the situation to the 5 guys who they sent to my house for the move. They did everything in their power to make sure I had a positive experience for the second part of my move.

The guys could not have been more wonderful, cooperative and patient as I took pictures of my damaged belongings. They were horrified to see how everything was packed. They explained to me the right and wrong way to pack, wrap and store specific household items. They told me how things SHOULD have been packed.

James gave me one guy for free and also an hour of moving time for free. I think he felt badly about everything I had gone through with the first part of my move. He even came back to pick up the majority of my boxes for me so I didn’t have to dispose of them myself. He also agreed to sign a letter for the Attorney General regarding all of the damage to my furniture and how the other movers incorrectly packed most of my items.

The move went great! Our crew led by David was exceptional, they were timely, professional and treated our furniture like it was their own. The move went great! Our crew led by David was exceptional, they were timely, professional and treated our furniture like it was their own. We had some pretty unique items and they took the time to break them down completely and wrap them with blankets and shrink wrap and put them back together like new. We had a lot of glass and nothing was broken! I had a desk that was very large and heavy and they broke it down and got it into the room with no damages. All the crew was wonderful but I can tell you that Brian and David were amazing. Respectful, careful and nice young men. Would hire them again in an instant.

Yesterday, September 24, I moved after 36 years in the same house. I had some beautiful, oak pieces and was very nervous. I called Fresh Start Moving Crew and from the time I called, and spoke to Kristen, my mind was put at ease. Due to house closing issues, I had to change my moving date twice and Kristen effortlessly was able to accommodate those changes. for me. On moving day Greg R., called to say when they would arrive. He and his crew, Alfred and Matt N. arrived on time, wearing company shirts. They were very professional, pleasant, and incredibly strong. Some of my very big, heavy furniture had to be moved 2 flights down to the driveway and truck. All the furniture was transported to my new home and placed where I wanted without any damage. I used the Fresh Start Moving Crew for the second part of my move on July 5, 2017. They were fantastic!! I would highly recommend this mover to all my friends, family and neighbors. They were punctual, courteous, friendly, professional, respectful, nice and patient. The first part of my move in May 2017 was an extremely unpleasant experience with another moving company who had scammed me. I called Fresh Start Movers to do the second part of my move after I realized my belongings were not stored properly, many glass items were not wrapped and most of my things were just thrown into the storage unit. I explained my horrible experience to Mary (the office manager) and James (the owner) of Fresh Start Moving. They were very sympathetic and understanding of what I had gone through a few months prior. They were aware of the fact that I wanted to go slow with this move, as I needed to take pictures as evidence against the first movers I hired. James even gave me tips regarding who to call (AG, BBB, MDPU, FMCSA) and what websites to visit to make a case against the other company. They took the time to explain the situation to the 5 guys who they sent to my house for the move. They did everything in their power to make sure I had a positive experience for the second part of my move. The guys could not have been more wonderful, cooperative and patient as I took pictures of my damaged belongings. They were horrified to see how everything was packed. They explained to me the right and wrong way to pack, wrap and store specific household items. They told me how things SHOULD have been packed. James gave me one guy for free and also an hour of moving time for free. I think he felt badly about everything I had gone through with the first part of my move. He even came back to pick up the majority of my boxes for me so I didn’t have to dispose of them myself. He also agreed to sign a letter for the Attorney General regarding all of the damage to my furniture and how the other movers incorrectly packed most of my items. Thank you Fresh Start Movers, you made me have faith in moving companies again!!!! I wish I had hired you for the first part of my move!!!!

As the closing time was getting closer I decided to contact them for a quote, even though I had a quote from the other company, who I had used years ago. This was one of the best moving experiences I’ve ever had. David, Cory, and Will were on time, super respectful, and absolute beasts for the move. At first, I was a little nervous with the communication with the moving coordinator and scheduling the move. Hire these guys – they do it best! Fresh Start did a spectacular job with my move from Lancaster Ma to Waterville Me. They worked so hard to protect everything and loaded it all into the truck with a level of care that really impressed me. When it came time to unload at the destination they took care to unpack everything in a careful and methodical way. Absolutely nothing was broken or damaged which I think is incredible given the volume of things they had to deal with. I had a lot of breakable things, mirrors, antique furniture, hastily packed boxes and everything came out on the other end in perfect condition. We used Fresh Start this past weekend to move my girlfriend’s items into my condo and to bring other items to a storage unit. We chose Fresh Start because they had the best quote out of several companies in Worcester County. We received a confirmation call the day before the move, and the crew also called when they were on their way. Fresh Start is a stellar company from start to finish. Owner James willingly came out to my house in Worcester to start my quote, and then Kristen took it all from there. Fresh start did an incredible job on a complicated 3 part move which involved moving delicate, fragile furniture out of my house to two storage units. Items had to be sorted and carefully fit into both units. The crew of David, Bryan, Patrick & Christian were extremely patient, polite and careful with the moving and sorting. Many heavy boxes needed to be stored in a third floor attic and placed in organized rows. The crew did an incredible job and we are very satisfied and would give a strong recommendation. My crew from Fresh Start worked really hard to move the contents of my house in Worcester, MA to Aldan, PA. When there were still extra things that wouldn’t fit in the first truck, Martin suggested renting a U-Haul rather than spending another $2K for a second truck.

Fresh Start was simply amazing to work with. I’d had a bad experience the last time I moved (with another company) and was nervous, so did a lot of research before hiring them. They definitely lived up to their good reviews! They gave a quote quickly and reasonably and were actually the most detailed so I felt confident that even though it was a range quote, it would be accurate. My first move actually fell through, and they made it so easy to reschedule months later. On the day of the move they showed up bright and early, did a great job (on both ends) of navigating the truck in the parking lot (a concern of mine) and were fast, friendly and professional. I cannot thank the crew of Bryan I and Will C, led by Tyler L, enough for being so awesome on one of the hardest days of my life.

I just finished my 4th move with Fresh Start – The Moving Crew (who in their right mind moves 4 times??!!) Fresh start has moved my stuff within town and as far as 160 miles. Crew and office staff — Tyler L., David V., Cameron F., Holly, and Elyssa for my most recent move — have been beyond helpful, friendly, and professional. When I needed to change my move date: no problem; when I needed pickup from one place and deliver to two places: no problem; when heavy furniture needed to arrive through curvy stairs to a 2nd floor apartment: no problem. To be honest, Fresh Start wasn’t the first company we considered for packing up the treasures from our large three story home. But following a visit by James, one of the owners, and his comforting explanation of Fresh Start’s services, we decided that his company was worth taking on the task. And how right we were! The seven-person team assembled under the direction of Holly, with David working as site manager, was exceptional. Nick and Jake receive accolades for their diligent wrapping and carrying of especially delicate items. Will cared for our artifacts like they were his own— in fact, he was moving house during this timeframe! Similarly, Neal and Matt worked tirelessly moving scores of heavy boxes from our house to truck and then helped off-load the items carefully into two large storage rooms at a warehouse some distance from our home. As always, the challenge was to secure our household effects (HHE) safely in the allotted space Overseeing this procedure was one of David’s many responsibilities, and he carried it out with distinction. Concerned that our two truckloads of HHE would not fit into the two large rooms allotted to them, we had privately arranged with the storage company to prepare a third room for use on an “as needed” basis. David didn’t know this, but he was so proficient in his careful packing, that this “reserve” room was not required. All in all, we give top marks to Fresh Start. We thank them and Holly, David, Jake, Nick, Will, Neal and Matt for helping to launch us in our new beginnings, as well.

Our experience has exceeded the best expectations we ever could have imagined for a multi faceted, complex, crazy and chaotic moving day (not Fresh Start’s fault). Conner as team lead, went so far above and beyond what he was contracted to do (a 5 hour job that became 14), Matt was magical in his puzzle piecing our load and utilizing every inch of the UPack trailer, working diligently for every minute of 10+ hours. Dakota, David, Andrew and the Worcester guys who pitched in for a critical few hours, all were amazing! Fresh Start even got us one of their moving trucks when our trailer was too full and we needed to move the remaining load into a storage unit.
Thank you Noah and Kristen for being so flexible and accommodating, working to make the unexpected complications be handled and everyone going so far beyond what could have been! reasonably expected. Conner and Andrew thank you for staying until the very late end. We are looking forward to the remainder of our relocation move being handled by Fresh Start. And, thank you for how affordable this complex move has been. While we really couldn’t adequately put a price on the work that you all have done and will be doing, I’m so thankful that the cost remained affordable. Next stop , South Carolina!

We used Fresh Start for our move to South Carolina from Massachusetts and theses guys were amazing. They wrapped things that we had already wrapped. I had a couple of antique pieces I was worried about but they did such a fantastic job with them. Nothing broken or damaged. Very polite and professional , put everything in the rooms that I wanted the boxes in . I will definitely recommend this crew if you are moving. Fantastic work, extremely polite. Would definitely recommend using this crew. They helped me move efficiently with as little stress as possible. They even helped remove 15 trash bags that I hadn’t realized I’d accumulate before finishing packing. Wonderful guys with great senses of humor too!

We hired fresh start for our move from Massachusetts to South Carolina and we were very pleased with them. Everything went extremely smooth right from the phones calls to the office to delivery. Rainell and Luis made the trip, they were very polite and responsible and everything arrived without damage.

First, I was in Worcester for a week moving my daughter and then came back to Wisconsin for a second move! I only hope the movers coming on Friday are even half as good as Fresh Start. Jake, Cory and John were careful, efficient, skilled, very pleasant, and worked together well. They were even nice to each other which really makes the whole experience of moving more tolerable 🙂
